I've been lucky enough to have worked on the upcoming feature film 'Benjamin Bat', both as a layout supervisor as well as a background artist. This movie's a hybrid 2D/3D animated movie - stylized 3D character models on top of digitally painted 2D backgrounds.
As layout supervisor, I was responsible for helping a team of 2d layout artists deliver the necessary designs for the film, to be used by both animators and background artists. Once layouts were done, I was transferred to Team Background to continue creating final background art.
